Mohammed Hawash is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Head of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology Department at An-Najah National University, Palestine. He obtained his PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Gazi University, Türkiye, in 2017.

His research focuses on drug discovery targeting cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and diabetes, integrating synthesis, biological evaluation, and computational approaches. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals.

Prof. Hawash has a Scopus H-index of 30 and has been listed among the Top 2% of the world’s scientists (Stanford rankings) for three consecutive years (2022–2024). He serves as an Associate Editor of the Palestinian Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal and has supervised multiple graduate students.

He has received several research excellence awards and actively participates in international collaborations and academic exchanges.
