Course Description

This course provides a comprehensive exploration of essential computer applications in pharmaceutical research and development. Participants will gain hands-on experience with tools like ChemDraw, MarvinSketch, Excel, SwissADME, Chimera, Molsoft, iNMR, and SciFinder. The course aims to equip students with the skills needed for effective utilization of these programs in pharmaceutical projects and industry settings.

 

Course Objectives
  1. Understand the significance of computer applications in pharmaceutical research.
  2. Develop proficiency in drawing chemical structures using ChemDraw and MarvinSketch.
  3. Utilize Excel for data management and analysis in pharmaceutical contexts.
  4. Predict ADME properties using SwissADME and interpret the results.
  5. Explore molecular modeling and visualization with Chimera and Molsoft.
  6. Understand the principles of NMR and use iNMR for spectral analysis.
  7. Master the use of SciFinder for efficient literature and chemical information retrieval.
  8. Integrate multiple tools for comprehensive pharmaceutical research applications.
