Dr. Saed Tarapiah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at An-Najah National University, Palestine. His academic and research interests span Computer Engineering, communication and computer networks, Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), embedded systems, and applied machine learning. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from An-Najah National University, an M.Sc. in Wireless Systems and Related Technologies from Politecnico di Torino, where he graduated with honour and first-order distinction, and pursued doctoral studies in Electronics Engineering at Politecnico di Torino within the SIPD joint doctoral framework.

His research profile reflects a continuous evolution from wireless and mobile communications toward contemporary areas including AI-enabled cybersecurity, Large Language Models (LLMs), DevSecOps, edge AI, intelligent networking, IoT, smart systems, and data-driven engineering. His academic record includes 33 refereed journal publications and 10 refereed conference publications, in addition to a book chapter, technical reports, and ongoing research manuscripts. Dr. Tarapiah has received repeated recognition for his research performance, including the Scientific Research Award at An-Najah National University in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025/2026. He was also recognized for achieving the highest Scopus H-index within his specialization in 2022 and 2023.

His international research experience includes work at INRIA Méditerranée in France, Istituto Superiore Mario Boella in Italy, and Telecom Italia Labs. In addition to research and teaching, he contributes to postgraduate supervision, external examination of master's theses, editorial and peer-review activities, academic committees, and professional service, including membership in IEEE.
