Adham S. Abu Taha, PhD is a Full Professor of Biomedical Sciences at the Faculty of Human Medicine and Health Sciences, An-Najah National University, Palestine, and serves as Director of the PhD Program in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. He is also the Manager of Medical Laboratories at An-Najah National University Hospital, where he oversees comprehensive diagnostic services including clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, surgical pathology, molecular diagnostics, flow cytometry, blood bank, and bone marrow transplantation laboratories.
Dr. Abu Taha earned his PhD in Pharmacology from Northeastern University (USA) and completed post-doctoral training at the Cardiovascular Targeting Center. His academic and clinical career spans more than three decades, integrating teaching, laboratory leadership, and translational research. He has held multiple senior academic appointments, including Chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and has contributed extensively to graduate and undergraduate education in pharmacology, clinical biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, and infectious diseases.
His research focuses on antimicrobial resistance, molecular epidemiology, surveillance studies, and clinical outcomes of infectious diseases. Dr. Abu Taha has authored and co-authored a substantial body of peer-reviewed publications in high-impact international journals, with significant contributions to global research on antimicrobial resistance, infectious diseases, and biomedical science.
