Muath Asmar, Ph.D is an Assistance Professor of Finance at the Faculty of Business & Communication, An-Najah National University. He has worked at different managerial and consultant positions in private sector. He is a certified expert and arbitrator in IT and E- Commerce by the Palestinian Ministry of Justice. He has Bachelor Degree in Finance and Banking from An-Najah National University. He has Master Degree in Information Technology and Ph.D in Financial Markets Microstructure from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He also did a Post Doctorate in Exchange Traded Fund and Fintech at School of Economics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His main research interests are in Market Microstructure, Behavioral Finance, Assets Pricing Models, Capital Market Efficiency, and Trading Technology, Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Technology, and E-commerce. Throughout his academic career, he has taught several courses at the undergraduate and post graduate levels including: Portfolio Theory, Financial Markets, Scientific Research Methodology and its Statistical Tools, Corporate Finance and other finance and IT related courses. He has published several papers in international refereed journals, and attended several conferences around the world. He was a visiting professor at Department of Economics & Management, University of Pavia. He also did several visits to US financial institutions.
