Dr. Zaher Nazzal: Consultant in Community Medicine.
In 1999, Dr. Nazzal earned his Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Istanbul University, Turkey. Subsequently, he dedicated five years to working in various facilities under the Palestinian Ministry of Health. In Sept 2005, Dr. Nazzal was awarded a scholarship by the Qatar Red Crescent to pursue specialization in community medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar. Following this, he obtained the Arab Board certificate in community medicine. In 2011, he joined An-Najah National University as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Nazzal played an essential part in establishing the Al-Najah Child Institute, and he continued to manage the institute until 2018. In addition, for several years, he was responsible for coordinating scientific research at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Nazzal is a highly accomplished Palestinian researcher in the field of health, having published over 70 peer-reviewed scientific research papers in international journals. He actively manages numerous research projects and leads research groups in Palestine. Additionally, he has supervised and evaluated numerous master's theses within the country.
Dr. Nazzal is deeply engaged in promoting scientific research at the local and Arab levels, supervising the design and execution of various workshops and courses in this field. He also serves as a research reviewer for numerous international journals and has received several research awards at the university and national levels.
Dr. Nazzal is a member of the Palestinian Medical Council and the Arab Council for Medical Specializations, specifically the Scientific Council for Community Medicine.
