Dr. Ibrahim Alzuheir is the Assistant professor of Infectious diseases and veterinary virology and microbiology at the Department of Veterinary Medicine at An Najah National University, Palestine. He graduated from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and completed his Master of Science in Veterinary Physiology and Pharmacology in January 2007. After receiving his master's education, Dr. Alzuheir joined the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine staff at An Najah National University to teach veterinary physiology, pharmacology, and biochemistry.
In November 2013, Dr Alzuheir earned an Erasmus Mundus PhD scholarship at the Institute of Virology. Department of Veterinary Medicine at the Freie Universität Berlin. He did his PhD project on recombinant Marek`s Disease viruses, completed his PhD in August 20016, and published his work in Frontier Virology Journal. Dr. Alzuheir has also published on various topics in veterinary medicine. During his career, he has supervised many graduate projects related to veterinary and animal sciences. In addition, he is an active member of many scientific and preparatory professional committees.
Dr Alzuheir's motivation for conducting scientific work is in the molecular characterization of animals and zoonotic bacterial and viral diseases. His work leads to the reporting and description of many infectious diseases in Palestine.
