Biography

Dr. Moien Omar currently he is an assistant professor of power electronics  at An-Najah National University. He teaches electrical machines, Power electronics for undergraduate student, and he teaches smart grid and distributed generations for master students. He holds a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from An-Najah National University, Palestine as well as a M.Sc. degree in Clean Energy and energy conservation Engineering from An-Najah National University in 2008 with Thesis title: Computer Aided Design and Performance Evaluation of PV -Diesel Hybrid System. In 2012, he awarded a full scholarship to get PhD in power electronic converter applications. In 2015 Dr. Moien graduated as doctor with thesis “Power Converters and Control for Grid Connected Microgrids under Unbalanced Operating Conditions”. His areas of interest are alternative energy systems,Power Converters control and energy efficiency improvements.
