Biography

Dr. HAJ HUSSEIN has a PhD degree of architectural sciences and techniques from University of Bordeaux1 in France. He is an Assistant Professor at Building Engineering Department, An-Najah National University in Palestine. He has more than 13 years of experience as a sustainable and environmental architecture expert. Dr. Haj Hussein also served as Project consultant for green building projects and participated in various training activities of public awareness in sustainable architecture and green buildings. He worked as a lecturer (part time) at High National School of Architecture and Landscape of Bordeaux (Ensap-Bx) in France. He also has worked as teaching assistant at the Architectural Engineering Department, An-Najah National University. Dr. Haj Hussein is an Associate Researcher at Groupe de Recherche Environnement, Comfort, Conception Architecturale et Urbaine (GRECCAU) at Ensap-Bx in France. He has extensive experience in the use and application of computer programs in the field of Architecture and Building Simulation.  He authored more than 10 papers, prepared and coordinated several funded studies. Moreover, he served as a scientific committee member for several international conferences. Dr. Haj Hussein has obtained Best poster award at the 3rd International Conference on Renewable Energy: Generation and Applications (ICREGA'14) in 2014.
