Dr. Sulaiman Hafez Amad was born in Nablus, Palestine, in 1986. He is married and holds a Ph.D. in Sports Performance Analysis from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Spain, where he graduated with Honors. He also earned a Master's degree in Movement Sciences from Yarmouk University, Jordan, graduating first in his faculty.
Dr. Amad is a faculty member in the Department of Sports Sciences at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, An-Najah National University. He currently serves as the Coordinator of Sports Facilities at the university, President of the Northern Branch of the Palestinian Football Association, and a Member of the Nablus Municipal Council.
Throughout his professional career, Dr. Amad has held numerous leadership positions. He served as President of the Palestinian Gymnastics Federation, Chairman of the Competitions Committee of the Northern Branch of the Palestinian Football Association, and as a Football Match Commissioner. He has also been an active board member of several organizations, including the Al-Mustaqbal Sports Club for Persons with Disabilities, Buthoor Cultural Association, and Ebal Sports Club. In addition, he was elected as a member of the Nablus Takhtar municipal list, which won the Nablus Municipal Council elections. He also coordinated the Gaza Workers Shelter Committee, responsible for managing the shelter established at the Nablus Municipal Stadium.
Dr. Amad has published numerous peer-reviewed research papers in the fields of sports sciences, education, and physical activity. He has participated in many international and national conferences, workshops, and scientific seminars, delivering lectures and presentations on various topics related to sports sciences and performance analysis.
Beyond academia, Dr. Amad is widely recognized for his active role in community development. He serves on several local and national committees and supervises a wide range of community and sports initiatives. He firmly believes that sport is a social culture and a national mission before it is about winning or losing, a philosophy that continues to guide his academic, professional, and community engagement.
