Dr malhis finished  high school in Selat­-Alharithie,  Jenin.  Then went on to pursue his  bachelor degree in computer engineering  at the university of  Arizona, USA. After completing his Ph.D degree in electrical and computer engineering from the university of Arizona in  1996 he joined An-najah National university as an assistant  professor of computer science. While at An-najah he co-established the computer engineering department and the information Technology College. He was the head of the computer science department for 3 years. He also headed of computer engineering  department for 11 years. The was  also the director of information technology unit for 3 years. Dr. Malhis has taught many course (Hardware and Software) in the field of computer science and computer engineering.  He also supervised or served as  examiner for many master thesis at An-najah National university. He  was also invited as an external examiner  for 2 Ph.D degrees at  the university of Barcelona.  He has many publications in the fields for computer architecture and performance modeling and evaluation. Currently Dr.  Malhis is a council member of the accreditation and quality assurance commission of Palestinian universities. He also served as head or member of many committees at an-najah  university pertaining to academic or logistic issues pertaining the department of computer engineering, the engineering faculty or the university at larg.
