Biography

Professor Raed Alkowni, Dean of Faculty of Science in An-Najah National University; has main area of research interests on Plant Pathology and Applied Microbiology/Biotechnology; Phytosanitary; Biodiversity; Environmental biotechnology/ Phytoremediation, beside his experiences on developing molecular diagnostic tools and plant tissue culturing techniques that serves conserving biodiversities. Prof. Alkowni is fluently speaking of Arabic, English and Italian languages. In addition, Prof. Raed has other responsibilities as An-Najah University staff member of its Center for excellence in learning and teaching (CELT). He was graduated from University of Bari, Italy in (2001), and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher (Junior Specialist) at University of California - Davis, USA, between (2001-2003) and (2007-2008). He won many scholarships and grants to his outstanding achievements in the scientific researches. He is also the founder of Ecology Friend association (EFA) as well as ECOPAL-Forum
