This research seeks to shed light on the Palestinian heritage and its importance, and to enhance the Palestinian cultural identity and employ and develop it in the elements of the interior design of the home. It also seeks to achieve authenticity and preserve heritage while keeping pace with the requirements of the modern era. The research addresses how to use the Palestinian cultural identity in interior design through innovation and appropriate employment, not just copying, by employing elements of the Palestinian cultural identity in a way that serves and enhances the function of the interior space. Therefore, the research problem is summarized in trying to understand the mechanisms through which the Palestinian cultural identity can be employed in an effective way in designing interior spaces in a contemporary style, while preserving the authenticity of the Palestinian identity and keeping pace with the requirements of modern life. The research also seeks to explore the potential of interior design as a means of preserving the Palestinian cultural identity and its symbols in multicultural environments, in light of the absence of the use of cultural identity determinants in interior design.

Based on the effective role played by interior design in preserving cultural identity, this research aims to analyze and employ elements of the Palestinian cultural identity that can be used effectively in the design process, explore the extent of the impact of this employment in interior design and how to use it to meet the needs within the interior space
