The Contribution of Educational Technology to Creative Thinking, Self-Esteem and Teaching Competencies of Physical Education Teachers in the Northern Governorates of Palestine

This study aimed to examine the contribution of educational technology in enhancing creativity, self-esteem, and teaching competencies among physical education teachers in the northern governorates of Palestine. The sample included 246 teachers from public schools, and four scales were used to measure educational technology, creativity, self-esteem, and teaching competencies. The results showed that the use of educational technology was high, with a mean score of (3.81), while creativity was rated at (3.98), self-esteem at (4.26), and teaching competencies at (4.22). The results also revealed a statistically significant positive effect of technology on these areas, explaining 53.20% of creativity, 41.90% of self-esteem, and 47.10% of teaching competencies. No significant differences were found in the use of technology based on gender or years of experience, though there were differences in favor of teachers with higher qualifications. The study recommended enhancing the use of technology in education, providing continuous training courses for teachers, focusing on improving student assessment tools, and encouraging creativity through workshops to stimulate innovation among teachers.
