this study aimed to identify the degree of administrative empowerment of
secondary government school principals in the northern governorates of Palestine from
the point of view of principals and teachers, to reveal whether there are statistically
significant differences between the estimates of the sample members, due to the
variables of gender, current job, and the interaction between them. . The researchers
followed the descriptive analytical approach. The questionnaire of administrative
empowerment was built using exploratory factor analysis, and the reliability coefficient
was extracted. It was applied to a sample of principals (189), and to a sample of teachers
(1192).
The results of the study indicated that the degree of administrative empowerment
among the principals of secondary public schools in Palestine from the point of view of
school principals and teachers was high, and there were significant differences at (α ≤
0.05) in the total degree of administrative empowerment due to the job variable in
favor of school principals, and there were statistically significant differences according to
the gender variable, and there is an interaction between the job and gender variables.
The study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which are
holding courses in delegation of authority, influence, and the need to expand the
powers of the school principal, and actually move towards decentralization.
