This study aims to shed light on the sanctification of trees, as a global pagan phenomenon, which has existed since the dawn of history, among most nations, which shared many motives, beliefs, and rituals associated with it , according to the beliefs of its owners, and its relationship to the gods of different civilizations and peoples, as well as the religious rituals that were practiced towards it. The study followed the historical approach in examining its sources and employing them to serve its subjects. Through it, it became clear that the concept of "soul" formed the basis on which various religions were built throughout history, which is considered the origin of the phenomenon of primitive ancestor worship. It was also found that the phenomenon of sanctifying trees emerged from the concept of "anthropomorphism", which states the belief that natural assets contain a spirit capable of influencing people's lives.
