This Article discussed challenges face social work development as profession in Palestine. It is divided into three sections discussing challenges. Starting with a historical background to show the way social work developed in Palestine. Then it reflect on the academic programs to show the identity dilemmas social work face within academia which is reflected on the organizational level. Then it showed the professional, personal challenges social workers experience during their intervention in a precarious political situation as a result of the Israeli occupation.
