Omar Faiq Sadeq Daraghmeh is a Medical Imaging Specialist and university lecturer with expertise in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in medical imaging.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Medical Imaging and Physics from the Arab American University, Palestine, and his Master's degree in Functional Body Imaging from Al-Quds University. His graduate research focused on MRI, deep learning, and machine learning techniques for medical image analysis. His master's thesis, "A Hybrid Artificial Intelligence Approach for Early Detection of Breast Cancer and Classification from Mammogram Images in Palestine" (2024), led to several peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognized journals, including Elsevier, Heliyon, and the Journal of Imaging (MDPI), in addition to a book chapter published by IntechOpen.
Professionally, he has more than seven years of clinical experience in medical imaging. He worked for five years at the Arab Consulting Hospital, gaining extensive experience in general radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), fluoroscopy, and operating room imaging. He also worked for two years at Kuwait Specialized Center, focusing on advanced MRI.
He currently serves as a Medical Imaging Specialist at Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital and as an Application Specialist with GE Healthcare, where he provides MRI applications training, protocol optimization, and MRI sequence development for healthcare professionals. His research interests include artificial intelligence in medical imaging, advanced MRI techniques, computer-aided diagnosis, and medical image analysis.
