Biography

Mr. Fadel teaches Civil Law courses at An-Najah, specializing in Contract Law. Having observed and interacted with a wide variety of civil laws inherited from Jordanian and Ottoman legal systems, Mr. Fadel focuses on researching their implementation in Palestine, under its draft civil law. To help his students enhance their legal analytical skills, he explores modern cases in contract law, merging the practical application, as it is practiced in the court, and the theoretical knowledge, as analyzed by experts in the legal field.

Mr. Fadel’s interest lies in legal research. His past research work focused on the crimes of abortion, which was published by the Palestinian Bar Library.  Currently, Mr. Fadel is researching International Federations of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) association and its varied aspects, as applied in the legal system, including formulation of contracts, commitments, agreements, and arbitration.  He is also working on the project that analyzes environmental laws in Palestine. In addition to teaching students at the Faculty of Law, Mr. Fadel devotes his time teaching top tier Honor Faculty students an ‘Introduction to Law’ course, helping facilitate their personal development skills in communication and leadership.

To build on his existing experience in the legal field and his interest in becoming an arbitrator on FIDIC –related contracts and construction contracts, Mr. Fadel hopes to further his academic career by pursuing a PhD degree that focuses on FIDIC and its global implementation.
