Dr Rasha Hani Alshakhshir is an Assistant Lecturer in Inclusive and Special Education and Head of the Department of Social Work at the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences, An-Najah National University, Palestine. She holds a PhD in Inclusive and Special Education from the University of Dundee, UK, and a Master’s degree in Inclusive Education from the University of Bolton, UK

Her academic and research interests include inclusive and special education, disability studies, teacher education, accessible higher education, curriculum development, quality assurance, qualitative and arts-based research, and the use of assistive and generative AI to enhance accessibility and inclusion

Dr Alshakhshir has extensive experience in teaching, curriculum and programme development, assessment design, academic quality assurance, and teacher training. She has also contributed to international education and training projects with organisations including the World Bank and Save the Children, and has published and presented research on inclusive education, disability, accessibility, and educational practice
