Each student is expected to select one specific inorganic chemistry subject of interest. Preferably from contemporary areas.
The student will then follow the development of the his/her chosen subject with time. Focus will be devoted to what has been done in the field, areas of weakness and strength, challenges and method to solve out difficulties.
In depth literature surveying together with critical assessment of achievements will be adopted by the students. Presenting own understanding, comparative assessment between literature sources, and own thoughts & suggestions, together with proposed ideas will be included.
This course aims at enabling the student to use Inorganic Chemistry primary resources in critically reading modern literature in one specific research area. Ability to undertake group discussing, writing technical reports, and orally presenting own findings, is another objective of this course. Moreover, the course enables the student to write up a critical review in one specific subject.
Upon completing the course (in inorganic chemistry) the student is expected to be able to:
Write and submit technical review on own selected area
Online and journals only
