Course Description

This course covers all chemical engineering transport phenomena in both states; steady and transient. The following topics are covered; Introduction to mathematical modeling; steps in the mathematical formulation of chemical and physical problems; theoretical principles of mathematical models; mathematical models and examples in chemical engineering problems on: continuity equation, energy equation, equation of motion, transport equations, equation of state, equilibrium, and chemical kinetics; analytical and the numerical solution of ODEs and PDEs; and computer applications and simulation using program packages on the above topics.
