The course is designed to help students to integrate knowledge from the accompanying maternal health theory course as well as provide nursing care for the woman during normal and abnormal aspects of the maternity cycle and apply the nursing process to assess, plan and implement quality care for women during their reproductive utilizing cycle and problem-solving techniques to manage physical, emotional, social and ethical problems in the areas of reproductive health, safe-motherhood. It also considers the gynecological conditions of women in different stages of their lives. The major emphasis of the clinical areas is postpartum wards and gynecological problems.
