Course Description

The course discusses the following Main Issues:

Crystal structures ; translational symmetry , bloch Theorem , brillouin Zone , density of state , Phonos , heat capacity ,  tight binding Method , Heterostructures , Fermi surfaces , Landau Levels , Theory of superconductivity .

Course Objectives

the aim of the course is to explain for the graduate students the fundamental subjects in solid state phsics and Nanosystems.

Intended learning Outcomes and Competences

the students are expected to understand : 

- The Dispersion relation calculation Technigues .

-Landau Level Spectroscopy  

-density of States for Nanosystems.

-to draw the fermi surfaces for semiconductors.

-quantum Oscillations .

- BCS in superconductivity.
