Abstract
This paper aims to find out the effectiveness of songs in improving students' motivation and achievement. As proved by research, children have short attention span, they lose interest easily, so good teachers should strive to keep the flame of learning blazing. Using songs in English classrooms is one of the effective ways to achieve this goal.
The researcher used a questionnaire to achieve the purpose. The questionnaire was distributed among 20 male and female teachers of English who were randomly chosen from 10 schools in Nablus city during the first semester of the scholastic year 2018-2019.
