  • The aim of this research is to determine how the hospitals in health tourism market which is a strong competitive environment use mission statement differentiate an organisation from others and assign a direction to organization members. It has been scanned the websites of the hospitals which are in health tourism agents pages. We found 43 statement from Turkiye, 41 from USA and 36 from India and the contents were analysed. We found that the hospitals don’t use the nine statement items that should be in mission statements. Hospitals generally use three or four item in a mission statement and mostly touch on “self-concept” and “product-service” items. ın conclusion, in spite of they are in the international market the administrators of hospitals don’t comport informed and attentive to develop an effective mission statement.
