Abstract

Prohibition of ‘Qafeiz At-Tahhan; Hadith Proveness Study

This research aims to answer the question: To what extent this prohibition is proved to the prophet, taking in consideration the very divergent views of hadith scholars in that? The research followed inductive and analytic approach, through tracking the ways it had been narrated, and the statements of the scholars in that, with discussion, analysis, comparison, and criticism, to find the correct ruling on the degree of provenness of that. The search was divided into seven sections: dealing with the Hadiths (prophet texts): the words, the meaning, with a detailed study of narrators, and the ways they had been narrated, accompanied with the views of scholars in all of that. The research arrived at different findings, the most important of which is: that the words related to the prohibition of ‘Qafeiz At-Tahhan’ are not the words of the prophet, and the Hadith is not from the conveyings of Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri, but from the conveyings of Abu Hurayrah, without the words related to the prohibition of ‘Qafeiz At-Tahhan’. What means that such prohibition is not proved to the prophet.
