 By:  Ayman Mustafa Hussein Dabbagh

This research aims to answer a question: Does the religious prohibition to sell gold for deferred gold or silver apply to sell gold for deferred banknotes? The research followed inductive and analytic approach. The search was divided into two sections: the first was about the views of Islam jurists on the subject and the argument of each opinion. The second detected to analyze and criticized the core jurisprudence axes of the subject. The research concluded many results, such as: permissible to sell gold for deferred banknotes, because gold has lost the ancient state when it was currency. There are no explicit religious texts or consensus prohibits the matter, but general or absolute texts which could affected by exceptions.  The Sale of Wedding jewelery  by installments must not in particular prohibited because of its importance, even if we are not convinced of the permissible to sell gold for deferred banknotes.
