Human freedom in lslamic politics

This study aims to illustrate the Islamic perception of freedom, its importance in lslamic politics, and the rules governinig this subject. With an emphasis on the grounding theory (Ta’sil) rather than the datails, the study was divided into three sections: The first discusses the contemporary concept of freedom and the concept of lslamic politics (Al-Siyasa al-Shar’iyya). The second aims to extract and ground the foundations of an Islamic conception of freedom. The third sets four rules of freedom in lslamic politics. The study concluded that human freedom is positioned at the pinnacle of the Islamic objectives (Maqasid) in genaral, and the objectives of lslamic politics in particular. The study recommends the need of applying the methodology of (Ta’sil) in lslamic politics, and working to develop a science for this politics.
