Biotechnology is providing tremendous toward propagation and conservation of plant diversities including germplasm collection; identification and conservation. The advances in the molecular and serological methods enabled the scientist to relatively fast identification of the plant species variations. In fact nowadays DNA fingerprinting was inevitable for taxonomy of many plant species. Microprpoagation and embryogenesis were some of many tools that can be used for production and reproduction of many varieties; accompanied with sanitation techniques for elimination of some pathogens hardly to be freed from infected stocks. Molecular and serological tools were intensively used to certify many germplasm collections as pathogen free mother stocks. DNA technology, and in particular DNA sequencing, was able to reveal the genetic makeup of many diversities and enabled researcher to work on developing varieties with desired characters. Long term preservation of many germplasm was nowadays possible using cryopreservation technology as well as in vitro tissue culture. In Palestine, some trials were made and used to conserve germplasm of some important crops in NARC
