In the title chalcone derivative, C₁₅H₉Cl₂FO, the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 19.13 (15)° and the double bond adopts an E conformation. In the crystal, mol­ecules are connected by weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a chain propagating along the [001] direction.
