The purpose of this study was to determine job competencies among academic staff of physical education in Palestinian universities. Furthermore, to determine the differences in job competencies according to gender and experience variables. The study was conducted on a purposed sample which where consisted of (43) academic members.
The results of the study revealed a high level of job competencies among academic staff of physical education in Palestinian universities where the percentage of response for the total score was (73%).Also , the results revealed a high level of job competencies for all domains except technological competencies domain. Furthermore, the results indicated a significant difference in job competencies between male and female in favor of male, and according to the experience in favor of 5 years and more.
Based on the findings of the study the researchers recommended to use personal, knowledge , teaching, administrative , and technological competencies as inventory for measurement of job competencies amongst academic staff of physical education in Palestinian universities.
