This research deals with a critical review of a book since it is considered as one of the first books that are classified in this art (Qur’anic Studies) in such a manner and comprehension. The book entitled Qur’anic Stories: Concept and Function authored by Abdul-Karim al-Khatib. It is, in fact, quite considered as an encyclopaedia in addressing the subject of Qur’anic Stories by talking about its elements and features. It also contains what is called the absolute truth, the excitement, movement and thrill, and through its appellant’s responses to detractors and sceptics, which made the book as a prime reference for those who are interested and specialised in this art. We study in these pages this book from a critical analysis perspective to highlight the creative halts at one hand, and its criticism on the other hand, showing that they are not the core and main issues of the book, but the errors and flaws occurred by the writer, while explaining or refuting. This is due mostly to the writer being affected by some scientific and social theories, such as the writer’s opinion about conflict, the origin of religion and his vision of Adam (peace be upon him).
