Water systems have always been an outcome of man’s interaction with his environment, and his attempts to utilize the available natural resources to his own benefit .The water systems founded by the early civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Southern Arabia are good examples of man‘ efficient utilization of water resources. In Umm El-Jimmal, the water system played a crucial role in the city economic life which was based on animal husbandry. agriculture, and caravan trade.
