The Term (DAY) And Its Meaning In The Holy Quran
Day is the axis of time, and Life from the foundation to the end is a collection of days. In the Qur’?nic context, this term has numerous semantic meanings where the term day and its derivations were used to describe time and what is happening. Qur’?n presented the numerous semantic meanings of day beginning with the common day and night that people know into the days and nights that talk about the periods of time that describe the creation of Earth and Heavens and its veracity is only known by Allah. There is also a unique and unprecedented Qur’?nic usage of selective expressions that deal with particular circumstances related to distance, time and speed. This usage preceded what was found by the person of the 20th Century Albert Einstein.

 اليوم هو محور الزمن، والحياة من بدايتها إلى نهايتها مجموعة من الأيام. والناظر في القرآن الكريم يجد أنه استخدم هذا المصطلح ومشتقاته بكثرة في سياق الحديث عن الزمن وما يجري فيه من أحداث. وقد تناول القرآن الكريم الحديث عن (اليوم) بدلالاته المختلفة، بدءاً من اليوم العادي الذي يتجاذب طرفيه الليل والنهار، ومروراً بالأيام التي لا يعلم حقيقتها إلا المولى عز وجل، وهي الحِقب أو الأطوار الزمنية التي خلق الله فيها السماوات والأرض. وثمَّة سبقٌ قرآني فريدٌ تمثَّل في استخدام القرآن الكريم لمصطلح (اليوم) في سياق الدلالة على المسافة والسرعة، وهذا استخدام علميّ حديث بدأ على يد إينشتاين في بدايات القرن العشرين.
