This study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of employing Palestinian patriotic songs in strengthening national identity among students at An-Najah National University. The study relied on the descriptive-analytical approach using a questionnaire. The study population consisted of An-Najah National University students, and a convinient sample of (400) male and female students from various university faculties. The results showed that the respondents' interest in patriotic songs is generally high, but increases on national occasions and during times of escalating events. They are influenced by patriotic songs in increasing their level of participation in national activities, shaping opinions on national issues, and raising awareness of cultural, historical, religious, and moral issues. The respondents also believe that these songs address various aspects of life in Palestine, especially the issues of resistance, martyrs, heroism, and challenging the Israeli occupation. The study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the impact of patriotic songs based on the variables of gender, educational level, and residential area. However, there was a slight noticeable impact among second and third-year students. A relative decline in the impact of patriotic songs on students living in refugee camps was also observed compared to students living in cities and villages.
