The study aimed to identify the effect of a proposed training program on the change curve of the contribution of certain physical variables to performance in the triple jump event among students of the Department of Physical Education at An-Najah National University. It also aimed to determine the most contributing physical variables to performance in the triple jump event among the same students.

The researchers used the experimental method with repeated measures due to its suitability for the nature of the study. The study sample consisted of (10) students enrolled in the Track and Field (2) course during the academic year 2022/2023. The sample was selected randomly.

The results showed that the physical variables included in the proposed training program contributed significantly to performance in the triple jump event, as there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α < 0.05) in all physical variables among the students of the Department of Physical Education at An-Najah National University.

The results also indicated that the most contributing physical variable to performance in the triple jump event was the standing long jump.

The researchers recommend the necessity of focusing on developing leg muscular strength when training beginners in the triple jump event.
