Abstract
The study aimed to explore the role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in enhancing writing and research skills among students at An-Najah National University. A mixed-method approach was applied using a questionnaire distributed to 388 students, complemented by semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS. The results revealed that AI tools significantly contribute to improving students’ writing organization, linguistic accuracy, and research competencies, particularly in summarizing literature and analyzing data. However, challenges were noted, including decreased creativity, overreliance on AI, and concerns about information accuracy and source credibility. The study recommends promoting critical and ethical AI use in academic contexts.
