Social security is a vital sector of the economy due to its role in social stability. Its importance extends beyond the existence of regulatory laws to the necessity of implementing them and studying the requirements for their effective application. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of Social Security Law implementation requirements on its actual applicability, from the perspective of employees in private companies in the West Bank.
The researchers used a descriptive-analytical approach, targeting a population of 11,220 employees in Palestinian private companies. Data was collected from a non-random sample of 250 employees via a questionnaire and was analyzed using SPSS and statistical methods such as regression and variance analysis.
The results showed a significant positive effect of the law's basic requirements (like employee coverage) on its applicability. The requirements for covering salaried and wage-earning employees had the highest impact in making the law implementable. The findings also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in employees' evaluation of the law based on their job characteristics.
Based on these results, the study recommended that the necessary requirements for the law's implementation must be met, particularly by ensuring full coverage for all worker categories and enhancing social and economic suitability through effective cooperation between the private sector and the Ministry of Labor.
