Abstract: Objective: This study aims to analyze the Arabic and Western vocal techniques employed by the renowned musician Mohammed Abdel Wahab in his performance of the structured Mawwal introduction "Ya Leil Ya Ein." It also seeks to develop exercises that assist students of Arabic singing in overcoming technical challenges. This type of performance marked a significant shift in the presentation of the Arabic Mawwal. The importance of this research lies in its attempt to bridge a knowledge gap in vocal music studies by addressing Western techniques that have not been sufficiently explored within the context of Arabic vocal performance. Methodology: To achieve the study’s objectives, the researcher adopted a descriptive analytical approach, focusing on content analysis of two selected Mawwal introductions by Abdel Wahab in the Hijaz Kar Kurd scale: 1. "Elly Enketab ‘Aal Gebeen". 2. "Ashki Lemeen El-Hawa". The study utilized a set of tools including audio recordings, analysis of musical scores, and the design of proposed vocal exercises derived from practical performance. Study Conclusions: The study found that integrating Arabic and Western vocal techniques has a significant impact on developing the skills of students of Arabic singing, especially those interested in performing Mawwal. The proposed exercises derived from the study sample received a 96.5% approval rating from expert reviewers, indicating their high effectiveness. These findings contribute to enhancing the artistic capabilities and performance horizons of students. Recommendations: The study concludes with several recommendations, most notably: emphasizing the importance of Arabic and Western vocal techniques in performing the structured Mawwal introduction; transcribing the Mawwal into musical notation; dividing it into vocal phrases; and creating exercises to facilitate performance. The study also recommends organizing workshops and seminars to highlight the significance and effectiveness of the structured Mawwal in improving the performance level of vocal students.
