This study deals with the understanding of the hadith “None of you will enter Paradise by his work” in the light of the context, and the researcher gradually explains the meaning of understanding the hadith, then clarifying the meaning of the context and that it is divided in accordance with the topic of this research into two meanings: specific and general, and then highlighting the importance of context in understanding the topic. Legal texts.
The researcher presented a practical model for understanding the prophetic texts through the context, which is a modern understanding, "None of you will enter Paradise with his work." There are three scientific categories: inductive, analytical and critical. Then the researcher refuted these problems by clarifying the connection of the hadith with three contexts that contribute to the correctness of its understanding, namely: the linguistic context, the creedal context, and the context of the words of the hadith and its narrations.
Among the most important findings of the study: that understanding the hadith in the light of the context helps to reach the correct meaning of the hadith of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. And that neglecting the context is one of the main reasons for the imbalance in understanding the texts of the Prophetic Sunnah. And that this hadith does not deprive the work of its value and does not conflict with the Qur’anic verses that link entering Paradise with righteous deeds.
