The Virtual Exchange (VE) approach is spreading among educational institutions globally. It has increased in recent years due to the COVID19 pandemic and to replace in-person exchange. This study aims to present the uses of VE in solving industrial problems and developing global competencies among students enrolled in different engineering and entrepreneurship courses at the Technological Studies of Beja (ISET Beja, Tunisia), An-Najah National University (ANNU, Palestine) and Pennsylvania State University Lehigh Valley(PSU, USA). Qualitative and quantitative research methodology found that this VE project resulted in increased global competencies of participants including problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, innovation, digital literacy, speaking and communication skills, and empathy for difference.
