The current study aims to understand the extent to which concepts of identity, both national and global, are incorporated in the social studies textbooks for the sixth and seventh grades in the Palestinian curriculum. The study used a descriptive-analytical approach, where researchers constructed a content analysis card consisting of specific criteria from which sub-indicators emerged. The validity and reliability of these card items for analysis were verified. The study sample was drawn from the content of social studies textbooks for the sixth and seventh grades in the Palestinian curriculum, with the paragraph adopted as the unit of analysis. The results showed that the content of the books predominantly focused on national identity, with concepts of global identity largely absent. The study concluded the necessity of balancing the coverage of national and global identity indicators while maintaining a prominent representation of national identity and its indicators in the curriculum.
