Palestinian universities are keen to catch up with the digital transformation trend and leverage it for achieving sustainable development. This includes focusing on the quality of graduates by equipping them with necessary skills for their future, enabling dignified lives, and enhancing their competitiveness amidst scarce job opportunities. Universities also emphasize engagement with civil society institutions to train and educate specific segments influential in the community, equipping them with skills and competencies essential for sustainable development, including digital utilization. However, they face numerous obstacles and challenges, notably occupation policies that hinder Palestinian universities' efforts towards sustainable development. This underscores the need for a broad international, regional, and Arab alliance to support universities in achieving their goals in education and sustainable development. Addressing these impediments imposed by the occupation on the global stage and raising them in international institutions dedicated to defending people's rights to free education and dignified life is essential to halt these oppressive policies.
