Hanafi jurisprudence And its role in developing contemporary jurisprudence and building a consensual system

This study deals with the Hanafi School of Islamic jurisprudence. After introduces the Imam and senior scholars of the School, It follows the basis of jurisprudence the school is based on and studies the opinions of other schools regarding such basis. The aim is to show what is in common between the different schools of jurisprudence as a step to build a consensual jurisprudence system instead of searching for areas of diveregnce. The study suggests methods for improving contemporary jurisprudence relying on the basis of the Hanafi School. The significance of this study lies in this specific point.      

The study adopted the descriptive method for introducing the Hanafi School, along with the comparative method to search for the common points among the different schools of jurisprudence to find out which are suitable for contemporary ijtihad.  

The study concluded that the different schools of Islamic jurisprudence share a wide range of common points which make it easier to construct a consensual jurisprudence system which can replace the points of divergence and differences. Additionally, the study .showed the validity of these jurisprudence basis for dealing with the updates of the age.
