Emphasizing the critical need for proactive disaster risk reduction, the study underscores the potential for sustainable furniture solutions to play a pivotal role. Drawing on descriptive analysis of case studies from events such as the Tokyo and Paris Olympics, the research employs an analytical framework to examine the application of recycled cardboard furniture in addressing the needs of disaster-prone regions. By optimizing the utilization of sustainable furniture, particularly in developing countries like Palestine, the study advocates for locally sourced solutions to enhance preparedness, response, and recovery efforts. Ultimately, the findings suggest that leveraging locally recycled cardboard furniture can offer a scalable, cost-effective approach to furnishing disaster-affected areas, facilitating ease of transportation, storage, and assembly without requiring specialized skills.
