The Training Needs for Public Relations Employees in the Palestinian Government Sector

This study aimed to identify the training needs of public relations
employees in the Palestinian Government Sector. To achieve this goal,
the researcher used a descriptive approach through a questionnaire,
while the study community consists of the employees of public
relations and media unites in the Palestinian Civil Government Sector.
Also, the study sample consisted of 175 employees. The study reveals
that public relations and media employees need training in the
personal and subjective aspects in a very large way compared to the
rest of the aspects, and that the need for crisis management comes at
the top of the priorities of the training needs of these employees with a
rate of 27.6%. Moreover, with regard to the specialized and technical
aspects, they mainly need training on Conducting public opinion
surveys, and in the administrative aspects they need training in
strategic planning, and in the subjective and personal aspects they
need training on the ability to withstand work pressure and self-
control, and as for the professional and personal aspects they need
training in the field of understanding human behavior.
