Aim: The aim of the current study was to examine the effect of Lockdown experience that occurred during the coronavirus infection Disease (COVID -19) Pandemic on the mental health of a sample of the Jordanian population. Methodology: The study sample consisted of (800) person: (327) males, (473) females. The instrument used in this study was The General Health Scale That consisted of (26) items, that included (4) dimensions (Somatic symptoms, Social dysfunction, freedom from severe depression, insomnia and anxiety). The construct and factorial analysis validity as well as the consistency of The Scale were verified by the Cronbach Alpha method. Which confirming the appropriateness of the implementation of the tool. Results: The results of The study Showed That The most mental health issues related to lockdown were anxiety and insomnia (33.6%), Social dysfunction (16%), Somatic symptoms (12.9%) which was followed by severe depression (8.9%). The finding of the study also showed That Those who do not have mental health is (9%), Another finding of the study was That There significant difference in mental health in term of Those individuals with an income higher than (1500) Jordanian dinars, Those who were older than (36) years, individuals with Jordanian nationality, and those who were not quarantined at home. On The other hand the study showed no differences in terms of gender, place of residence, level of education, being employed and quarantine.
