FAVORITE TEACHING METHODS AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MIND HABITS AMONG PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS IN PALESTINE

The study aimed to identify the preferred teaching methods and their relationship to the habits of mind among physical education teachers in the state of Palestine, in addition to identifying the differences in the preferred teaching methods and their relationship to the habits of mind among physical education teachers according to variables: (governorate, gender & experience). The study population consisted of all physical education teachers in public schools in the Palestine, whose number is (1067) male and female teachers, and the study was conducted on a sample of (407) teachers of physical education in the northern governorates - Palestine, including (130) male teachers, and (277) female teacher; It was chosen by the stratified randomized method, and the study sample represents approximately (38%) of the study population, and the descriptive analytical method was used as the method of the study, The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data on preferred teaching methods. How much was the Rogers scale (2000) used to measure habits of the mind., and the (SPSS) program was used for statistical analysis.The results show, that the practical Style was the most preferred teaching method among physical education teachers. While the command method was the least preferred method f among physical education teachers. The results also show that the mental habit of "Leadership" is the most common mental habits among physical education teachers. Whereas the mental habit of "thinking beyond knowledge" was considered one of the mental habits least used by a physical education teacher. the researcher recommended the necessity of empowering physical education teachers with contemporary mental habits that work to raise the level of the educational process to improve the performance of physical education teachers and develop their mental abilities and skills to upgrade the educational institution.
