2: The institution’s experience with distant learning, success factors and challenges faced.

For the sake of that descriptive and analytical method, the researcher opted for interviews with the instructors and the students at the Centre of Arabic for Non-Native Speakers.

The study concludes that the experience of teaching Arabic remotely in the institute has been an effective because it achieved its desired goals which mainly manifest themselves in limiting the spread of the virus, preserving the wellbeing of the citizens, continuing the education process and helping the students to fulfil their graduation requirements. Despite the advantages, distant learning has not been effective in some aspects including the lack of applied aspect of education and the lack of body language in the form of verbal and physical cues alongside with technological problems such as slow internet connection and interruption from time to time.
